Whose Dominion? Making Sense of Jesus

Monday 23rd November 2026 at the Sheldonian Theatre. 6pm.

Wycliffe Hall is proud to support the Veritas Forum and the Oxford Pastorate in presenting this event at the Sheldonian Theatre.

It is easy to dismiss ancient religious figures as myth. But two millennia on, Jesus still shapes how we think about justice, human dignity, and the possibility of the miraculous. In this Veritas Forum at the University of Oxford, chaired by Molly Worthen, Tom Holland and N. T. Wright will consider: Who was Jesus? What did he claim? And why won't his story leave us alone?

Wycliffe Hall has set itself the modest task of fostering a New Renaissance of Christian scholarship, leadership and culture. As both a Christian community and a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford, we want to see transformational scholarship, leadership and culture, born out of Christian community, offering the truth, beauty and goodness of the gospel to the world.
